GM Diet Plan to Quick Weight Loss
General Motors or GM diet plan is developed by a car company for its employees in the USA for quick weight loss around 10-17 pounds per week. It promises to improve attitude and emotions as it claims to improve cleansing effect.
GM diet plan not only reduces weight but also detoxify body. The main content of this diet plan is mostly water: fruits, vegetables, milk and soup, as well as 6-8 glasses of water daily. So probably it is one of the best ways to lose weight.
Everyone wants a fastest way to lose weight when some important function is around and GM diet plan is the best diet to lose weight. There are different diets are available to lose weight but not all are as effective.
So here is 7 day diet plan.

Day One (Fruit Day)
All fruits except bananas. (Preferably watermelon and cantaloupe).
Day Two (Vegetable Day)
You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. For your complex carbohydrate, you will start day two with a large baked potato for breakfast. You may top the potato with one pat of butter.
Day Three (Fruit and Vegetable day)
A mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. No bananas yet. No potatoes today.
Day Four (Monkey day)
The reason I named it monkey day because you have to eat bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. This will be combined with the special soup which may be eaten in limited quantities.
Day Five (feast Day)
Today is feast day. You will eat beef and tomatoes. Eat two 10 oz. portions of lean beef. Combine this with six whole tomatoes. On day five you must increase your water intake by one quart. This is to cleanse your system of the uric acid you will be producing.
Day Six (Beef and Vegetables)
Today you may eat an unlimited amount of beef and vegetables.
Day Seven (Rice and Juice Day)
Today your food intake will consist of brown rice, fruit juices and all the vegetables you care to consume.
During the diet plan you can drink black coffee, tea and club soda no alcohol.
MY THOUGHTS ON THIS DIET
I tried this diet even though I am not fond of these fad diets but when I was not able to lose weight I gave it a try. First time I was not able to continue it’s so difficult to restrict yourself for only fruits for one day then on vegetables next day. Second time I tried again and complete all its 7 days. The results of this diet are not exact as it claims like 10 -17 pounds. I lost around 4-6 pounds not more than that. This diet also gave me dizziness and loses of energy so I was not able to perform good as I was doing before this diet. I also felt muscle weakness which is its side effect. For me it’s not a healthy way to lose weight and the main reason I didn’t do it again because when you continue your normal eating habits you actually gain all the weight again. So the weight loss is not permanent.
Well this GM diet plan is only recommended when you are in hurry and want quick weight loss but it is not a permanent solution. For permanent weight loss one has to be in behavioral change program. By changing eating habits can only give you fruitful results because you can’t be on diet all of your life.
